Where have I been………………?

After three weeks in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania with my good friends John & Marla Prince it is with a heavy heart that I have packed my bike for an early departure tomorrow. 137miles to New York should see me arrive Tuesday afternoon. Unfortunately Marla was admited to hospital yesterday which has put a dampner on the end of sojourn events.

I will miss Jonnie Boy.

The three weeks has absolutely flown but I have seven hours on a flight net Saturday to Manchester and as such will have ample time to write a blog update now that I have solved the PDA keyboard problem; “what a bloody rigmarole that was” I now have a soft fabric bluetooth and aplug in folding so there should be no more excuses for not writing.

The map is up to date on the follow the route page and Flikr has some new nice piccy’s.

I am also alot fatter after three weeks and a few cases (yes I mean three cases at least)……each of fine yeasty beverages complimented with numerous DVD’s & computer game carnage. Time to earn mykeep.

  1. Hi Jonathan,
Is that PDA keyboard the very one which you’d pull out all those years ago (2002-3) to enter class assignment marks? If so, it must have seen many different climates and has probably performed quite well throughout its life… NSW has had some shocking weather lately, as you may have seen in the news. A ship has found a new home on Nobby’s Beach at Newcastle.
Have a safe trip to the UK :)

    Jonathan,

Happy to read your recent posts and to know you are well and still on your way. J. and I spoke about you recently when I visisted him near New Orleans. (BTW, J. suffered a horrific bike crash a few weeks ago when a dog ran into his wheel, went to hospital for a few days with severe breaks, and is now using crutches, and will be for a couple months. His spirits are high and he’ll get back on the bike as soon as the doctors let him.)

    Take care and keep posting!

Glad you had a good break and are back on the road heading inexorably toward Blighty. Already have a number of fermented malt-based beverages in the fridge for your edification and delight when you get to York and looking forward to seeing you again after (I think) seven years! Keep pedalling! Ian
